Looking for the perfect campsite near Disneyland Paris? This one completely won us over.
We spent five nights at Camping Caravaning des 4 Vents during our France road trip, using it as the perfect base for visiting Disneyland Paris, and it couldn’t have worked out better.
Just 15 minutes from the parks, it gave us the best of both worlds, magical Disney days followed by peaceful evenings back at the caravan. The spacious pitches, spotless facilities and relaxed atmosphere made it somewhere we genuinely looked forward to returning to after busy days exploring.
It’s one of those campsites that simply worked for our family, and we loved it so much that we’re booked to go back summer 2026, which probably tells you everything you need to know!

Why We Chose It
Like many people, our main reason for stopping here was Disneyland Paris, but we also wanted somewhere peaceful to return to after long days in the parks.
Rather than staying on-site at Disney, we loved having our own space, enjoying relaxed evenings at the caravan and taking things at our own pace. It ended up being the perfect balance of adventure and downtime.
Facilities
Everything here was exactly what we needed for a comfortable family stay.
The shower and toilet blocks were immaculate throughout our visit and clearly very well looked after.
There’s a lovely little bakery and shop each morning for fresh croissants and baguettes, which quickly became part of our daily routine, plus a bar and evening food truck serving what is still probably the best burger we’ve ever eaten on a campsite!
Families are well catered for with:

We used Starlink throughout our stay and had no issues at all
Nearby Attractions
The biggest attraction is, of course, Disneyland Paris, which is just a 15-minute drive away, making it incredibly easy to enjoy full days in the parks before returning somewhere peaceful each evening.
But don’t overlook Paris itself. We took a day trip into the city and found it surprisingly easy.
From Gare de Tournan, you can catch a direct train into central Paris in around 30 minutes, with free parking available at the station.
When we visited in August 2025, we bought a Navigo day pass (around €12 per person), which covered unlimited travel on the Metro and public transport for the day. The Navigo card itself cost around €2 and can be reused for up to 10 years if you return.
One tip, don’t forget to validate your ticket before boarding, as ticket inspections and fines are common.
We also found the Bonjour RATP app really useful for planning our routes around Paris.
Back near the campsite, Val d’Europe is only a short drive away and has everything you could need, including a huge supermarket, Primark, restaurants, pharmacies and plenty of other shops.

Cons
If we had to pick one negative, it would be the swimming pool.
The pool itself is on the smaller side and wasn’t heated during our stay, so it was definitely on the chilly side! That said, we still spent time around the pool and even braved a dip, it just wasn’t somewhere we stayed for hours.
After full-on days exploring Disneyland Paris, it certainly wasn’t a dealbreaker, and it didn’t take away from what was otherwise a fantastic campsite.

Top Tips
Leave early if you’re heading to Disneyland Paris to make the most of your day.
Don’t skip the morning bakery run—the fresh pastries and baguettes are a lovely way to start the day.
Make time to try the evening food truck—we’re still talking about those burgers!
If you’re planning a day in Paris, drive to Gare de Tournan and catch the direct train. It was simple, stress-free and saved driving into the city.

Even if swimming is on your holiday checklist, don’t let the cool pool put you off, we still enjoyed spending time around it and even braved a dip.
Set aside some time for a visit to Val d’Europe for shopping, groceries or any forgotten essentials.
One of Our Favourite Memories
One of my favourite memories from this stay wasn’t actually at Disneyland.
It was coming back to the campsite after a busy day in the parks, grabbing burgers from the food truck, sitting outside the caravan while the boys played and simply enjoying the peace and quiet.
Those slower moments are often the ones we remember most, and they’re exactly why we’d choose to stay here again.
Getting There from the UK
One of the things we love about this campsite is that there are several easy ways to reach it from the UK. Over the years, we’ve used all three of these routes, and they each have their own advantages depending on where we’re travelling from, how long we’re staying and what sort of trip we’re planning.
🚢 Dover → Calais Ferry
Crossing time: Around 90 minutes
Drive from Calais to the campsite: Approximately 3 hours 30 minutes
(allow more time for towing a caravan and stops)
A great all-round option with frequent sailings and plenty of flexibility.
🚆 Folkestone → Calais (LeShuttle/Eurotunnel)
Crossing time: Just 35 minutes
Drive from Calais to the campsite: Approximately 3 hours 30 minutes

This is the quickest way across the Channel and ideal if you want to maximise your holiday time. You simply stay in your vehicle throughout the crossing before driving straight off into France. (LeShuttle)
⛴️ Newhaven → Dieppe Ferry
Crossing time: Around 4 hours
Drive from Dieppe to the campsite: Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes (DFDS A/S)
(allow more time for towing a caravan and stops)
This is often our favourite option from Sussex, as although the ferry crossing is longer, it leaves you with a much shorter and more relaxed drive once you’re in France.
Whichever route you choose, you’ll find the campsite is well positioned for exploring northern France, with easy access to Disneyland Paris, Paris itself and plenty of nearby attractions.

Some campsites are simply somewhere to sleep… others become a memorable part of the holiday.
For us, Camping Caravaning des 4 Vents definitely falls into the second category.
It ticked every box: spacious pitches, immaculate facilities, a fantastic location for both Disneyland Paris and the French capital, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it feel like a real escape after busy days out.
Would we stay here again?
We’re already booked to return and I think that’s the best recommendation I can give.
